Youth at a Glance
Youth Week is an international celebration of youth held annually during the first week of May.
It is a week of fun, interaction, and celebration intended to build a strong connection between young people and their communities and to profile the accomplishments and diversity of youth. Youth Week events in West Vancouver typically consist of a variety of events designed to showcase, entertain, and empower youth in our community. Please visit our Youth website for up-to-date information on events and activities planned for West Vancouver’s 2017 Youth Week
But here is a sneak peek of what’s to come (dates and activities subject to change)!
May 3 The 16th annual Youth Appreciation Awards and Youth Council will both inspire and impress you. Come and meet some of our community’s amazing youth!
May 4 Join us for an international-themed party and open house at Ambleside Youth Centre, complete with fun foods, traditions, and games from around the world!
May 7 Not only will we be closing Youth Week in style with a free screening of a Hollywood blockbuster at Gleneagles Community Centre, May 7 is also National Child & Youth Mental Health Day.
