Youth Volunteer Orientation

Spring & Summer

Learn the ins and outs of the volunteer program while gaining leadership skills through interactive learning and activities! If you are a youth interested in volunteering with Parks and Community Services, you must register for this mandatory orientation that combines the former general orientation and day camps training into one course. Bring ID for check-in (BC Care Card or BC Services Card with Personal Health Number). Please bring lunch, only a light snack is provided. If you would like to volunteer in Aquatics, Ice Skating, Seniors' Activity Centre, Library, Gymnastics and specialized opportunities, you will need to complete additional training. All volunteers need to be a minimum of 14 years of age before volunteering with the District.
