First Day of Lessons

What to expect when you arrive:

Show up 15 minutes before your scheduled lesson time (please do not arrive earlier or later than this time). Wait outside the Ice Arena South doors on the 'Wait Here' markers. A staff member will check you in, ask you COVID-19 screening questions, and direct you to a spot inside where you can put your skates on.

Please come skate-ready wearing all the appropriate gear. The change rooms will be closed. Washrooms will be available.

What to expect during your visit:

After you have been checked-in at the front door, you will be led to an area to put on your skates. This will be your dedicated area to change, leave bags, and view the lesson from. Dress warmly as this area is in located in the bleachers at ice level.  For a child hockey lesson please do not accompany your child with more than one adult. A staff member will then provide a lesson orientation and check if you need skate and helmet rentals.

Rental skates and helmets are available if needed and included in the lesson cost.  They are cleaned and disinfected after every use.

An instructor will call out your name when it is your turn to get on the ice and start your lesson.  At the end of the lesson you will be led back to your designated changing spot. Please leave within 10 minutes of the end of your lesson and exit through the assigned exit doors.

As a reminder, please maintain at least two-metres or six-feet of distance from staff and other guests during your visit.
