Before you arrive: Public Skate information for pre-registered participants
The District is pleased to welcome you back for Public Skating! FitPasses can be used for these skates.
What to expect when you arrive:
Show up 10 minutes before your scheduled lesson time (please do not arrive earlier or later than this time). Wait outside the Ice Arena South doors on the 'Wait Here' markers. A staff member will check you in, ask you COVID-19 screening questions, and direct you to a spot inside where you can put your skates on.
Please come skate-ready wearing all the appropriate clothes. The change rooms will be closed. Washrooms will be available.
What to expect during your visit:
If you are bringing a child and not skating, please do not accompany your child with more than one adult.
After you have been checked-in at the front door, you will be led to an area where you can put your skates on. This will be your dedicated area to change, leave bags, or view your child skate. Dress warmly as this area is in the bleachers at ice level. A staff member will then provide an orientation and check if you need skate and helmet rentals. They are cleaned and disinfected after each use.
Stay at your designated spot until an attendant leads you onto the ice for your timeslot. At the end of your timeslot you will be escorted off the ice back to your designated spot. Please leave within 10 minutes of the end of your timeslot and exit through your assigned exit doors.
As a reminder, please maintain a at least two-metres or six-feet of distance from staff and other guests during your visit.
