Learn from our team of professional actors at Artmania Drama programs at the Music Box.
Students will learn about working in a group and finding confidence in front of their peers. Drama teaches many life skills that can translate universally such as listening, communicating, understanding emotions and practicing presence. Through story-telling and imagination, students will learn skills that can help them focus and work in a creative way.
Artmania: Intro to Acting
Come and discover a fun, safe place where you can be yourself, while exploring your creative side! Learning to listen through story, drama exercises and games students will work together towards an end goal of an end of session performance.
Artmania: Acting for Stage and Screen I
Build confidence for the stage and screen through improv exercises, guidance of story creation, skill-building, drama exercises and games. Participants will come to adore the expression of acting in a recreational environment. Students will work towards an end of session group performance.
Artmania: Acting for Stage and Screen II
For those more serious about acting, participants will take a deeper look into understanding story and learn techniques to best achieve the needs of the character while having tons of fun. Processes learned will be applicable to both stage and screen. Students will work towards an end of course group performance.
