Be creative! Spend the week seeing and making art. Participants will learn different ways to have fun with art materials and go home at the end of the week with a collection of masterpieces.
Byte Camp Music Video Production
Make your own music and music video! Camp time will be split between digital music composition, video filming and editing. Use amazing software tools to craft your very own song from scratch. We will show you the basics on beats, baselines, chords and melodies so that your song will sound awesome. Experiment with video, special effects and editing techniques to make the video as cool as your tune.
Crush of Colour: Mask Making Camp
Spend the week exploring sculptural mediums in this hands-on workshop style art camp. You'll explore your own interests while creating masks using plaster of Paris and recycled materials. Taught by experienced IB art instructor, Jennifer Pickering. Get ready to crush it, have fun and make friends while taking your art skills to the next level!
Fiesta Spanish Camp
Have you ever been curious about the Latin way of life? Experience the Spanish culture through learning the language, singing, dancing, playing and creating!
Full Day Gymnastics 5.5-10y
Join us for a camp packed with swinging and springing for children in grades 1 and up. Enjoy up to four hours of gymnastics and trampoline in the gym. Other activities may consist of arts/crafts and games.
Golf Par 3 Camp
Golf Camps will cover the fundamentals of golf. Our main objective is to teach kids how to play the game of golf through fun golf related games and activities. Many aspects of the game will be explored such as; rules, etiquette, athletic movements, life skills, strategy and swing related skills. Camp runs rain or shine
Half Day Gymnastics Camp
Spend three hours running, jumping, balancing, and bouncing! Bring snack and water bottle.
LEGO® Introduction to Robotics Camp
This LEGO® education course focuses on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). featuring LEGO® Education BricQ Motion Essential that engages students in STEAM learning as they experiment with forces, motion, and interactions in the context of sports. This playful, narrative-based learning experience encourages pupils to investigate STEAM concepts, while contributing to literacy, math and social-emotional development. Followed by LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential, building theme based robotic models, programmed using SCRATCH.
Mini Chess Camp
Join Certified National Chess Master, Luc for a great mini chess camp! Learn the basic rules and strategies of chess while enjoying a mix of solo practice and opportunities to play games against other children. No experience is needed, and all equipment provided.
Pottery for Kids Camp
Explore the art of clay as you work on different projects each day in our half day pottery camp. All supplies are included.
Saplings Outdoor Camp at Lighthouse Park
Every day at Saplings nature-based camps is a little bit different! Build fairy houses, shelters or forts, make nature art, and even create a bow and arrow! Play classic childhood games like survival, man hunt and capture the flag, hike to beautiful secret spots around Lighthouse Park and enjoy plenty of exploration, activity and fun!
Price includes activities during camp, intensive instruction and supervision, lessons in risk management, small groups and low child to educator ratios.
Sportball Winter Break Camp Half-Day (3.5-5y)
Camp memories last a lifetime! Sportball camps focus on fun and skills development in our eight core sports (hockey, soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf and football) and also include arts and crafts, snack time/meal time, stories, music, co-operative games, and theme days.
Please remember to bring appropriate snack/lunch. Camp activities will be held in the Sports Gym.
Spring Break Camps with Artmania
Explore art games, nature, and art as you create one-of-a-kind paintings, sculptures and architecture! Venture outside and enjoy waterfront excursions on the grounds of the Silk Purse studio and collect found objects to use for your artwork. Classes taught by Artmania's team of professional artists and teachers. New lessons each week!
STEAM4Kids Wild Science Camp
Kids put on their engineer's hats for this exciting week of science activities. They also learn about chemical reactions that they might encounter in their daily lives and the nature of birds and beasts, as they take a walk on the wild side of science.
Summit Music Instrument Discovery Camp
Unsure which instrument is right for your child? Come and explore musical instruments with us in this introductory camp. Participants will learn the basics on piano, guitar, ukulele and percussion. By the end of the week, they will prepare a story with musical accompaniment for performance. No prior experience necessary and participants will have the opportunity to try all the provided instruments.
Zen Maker Lab Camp: 3D Design & 3D Printing
This program will expose students to the world of 3D printing and teach them the fundamentals they will need to use this revolutionary technology. From producing parts on the International Space Station to factory production here on Earth, and from the potential of 3D printing organs to save lives to inventors prototyping their new innovations from their own home, 3D printers are already changing the world around you. Your child will learn the foundations of 3D printers and 3D design, including, how are 3D printers being used today, and how to successfully print quality objects on a 3D printer. A laptop/Chromebook is required
Zen Maker Lab Camp: Junior Coding: Mission Planet Earth
Coding, logic, and robotics are essential skills for our children to be successful in the future so we are happy to announce this age-appropriate introduction to these skills. No experience is necessary and this year, all new missions and challenges. Creative computer coding fun and learning with a variety of tools including online coding puzzles, hands- on coding games, storytelling, crafting & creating, and programmable robots. The focus is fun, perseverance, creativity, and teamwork. We will work as a group on and off computers and tablets to spark an interest in the digital world and complete challenges with our programmable robots!
Zen Maker Lab Camp- Robot Rumble
In this one-week challenge, we will be designing, building, and testing our own “mobile robots” to move around a space and complete a number of trials and challenges! We’ve packed this program with as many applied design skills and technologies as possible! Students will learn about coordinate systems, geometry, variables and solving mathematical equations. They will learn the difference between current and voltage, how to create circuits, how a motor and servo-motor works, & how to write computer programs, and how to put it all together in a physical project. A base kit of parts will be used by students that can be modified and upgraded using additional electronics and their own 3D printed parts. Color, decorate, and make your mobile robot dashing and fabulous! Students with a more creative side will have the opportunity to jazz up their robot to make it look hip, snazzy or just plain gorgeous.
