Public Skate

This Public Skating schedule runs from Tuesday, January 4 to Sunday, March 13, 2022

No pre-registration for Public Skate sessions. Drop in and pay at the front desk. Skate rentals available.

Adult / Senior Skate
This is a public skating session for adults and seniors only. Come skate with friends and maintain your fitness over winter in a social and fun way! No coaching during these sessions. Regular drop-in rates apply.

Adult Ice Dance / Figure Skate
Ice dancers and figure skaters only! This is a public skating session that caters to skaters who want to work on their ice dance patterns. Compulsory dance music is played during these sessions. No coaching allowed during these ice times. Figure skaters may practice jumps and spins in the centre area of the ice but no full ice routines. Regular drop-in rates apply.

Toonie ($2) Skates
Admission cost is $2 every Wednesday for all ages and Friday early afternoon for children and youth (adults pay regular rate).

Public Skate – All Ages
Come skate with family and friends or on your own!  Regular drop-in rates apply.

8:30 – 10 a.m. (90 minutes)

Tuesday (Adult Ice Dance/Figure Skate Only)
10:15 – 11:30 a.m. (75 minutes)

Wednesday (Toonie Skate)
6:15 – 7:45 p.m. (90 minutes)

Friday (Adult & Senior Skate)
8:30 – 10 a.m. (90 minutes)

Friday (Adult Ice Dance/Figure Skate Only)
10:15 – 11:30 a.m. (75 minutes)

Friday (Toonie Skate for Children & Youth)
2:45 – 4 p.m. (75 minutes)

Friday Evening Public Skate
6:45 – 8 p.m. (75 minutes)

Sunday Afternoon Public Skate
12:30 – 2 p.m. (90 minutes)

What to expect when you arrive:

  • Enter through the South Main Arena Entrance
  • Stop at the front desk to show Proof of Vaccination and pay for admissions / rental skates.
  • In order to enter the building and remain inside, Proof of Vaccination is required for anyone age 12+, along with government photo ID for anyone age 19+
  • In the case of dropping off a child, for those that cannot provide Proof of Proof of Vaccination you can prepare your child at the drop off area inside the front doors and let them go on the ice. You must leave the building and come back to pick them up.
  • Masks are mandatory in all common areas including the lobby, change room, washrooms, and bleachers.
  • Masks are strongly recommended but not mandatory while on ice.
  • Please try to maintain at least two-metres or six-feet of distance from staff and other guests during your visit.
